Colosseum (2004) broke every rule. No gyms. No Elite Four. A desert region called Orre where you played as Wes, an ex-villain who stole a Snag Machine to steal Shadow Pokémon back from other trainers. It was dark, it was weird, and it was brilliant. The fandom has been begging for a remake for 20 years.
