Kyogre — The Sea Basin Pokémon

Kyogre is a Water-type Legendary Pokémon from the Hoenn region, debuting in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire as the mascot of Pokémon Sapphire. It is known as the Sea Basin Pokémon, measures 4.5 meters long, and carries the Drizzle ability, which summons endless rain the moment it enters battle.
Hoenn's legends tell of an ancient clash between Kyogre, master of the sea, and Groudon, master of the land — a battle so fierce it could only be stopped by Rayquaza descending from the sky. The villainous Team Aqua seeks to awaken Kyogre to flood the world and expand the oceans, and in Sapphire the player confronts it in the depths of the Seafloor Cavern.

In Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, Kyogre can undergo Primal Reversion, reclaiming the full power of nature. The Pokédex says: 'Through Primal Reversion and with nature's full power, it will take back its true form. It can summon storms that cause the sea levels to rise.'
Kyogre also takes a starring role in the ninth Pokémon movie, Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea, where its colossal presence guards the ocean temple of Samiya. Its signature move, Origin Pulse, fires beams of blue light drawn from the sea itself.
