Dialga — The Temporal Pokémon
Dialga is a Steel and Dragon-type Legendary Pokémon first discovered in the Sinnoh region, debuting in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. It stands 5.4 meters tall and is known as the Temporal Pokémon — legend says that time itself began moving when Dialga was born.
In Sinnoh's myths, Dialga is one of three Pokémon created by Arceus, alongside Palkia, which rules over space, and Giratina, which watches over the Distortion World. Together they are called the creation trio, and each guards a fundamental force of the universe.
Dialga's story takes center stage in Pokémon Diamond, where the villainous Team Galactic and its leader Cyrus attempt to summon it at the Spear Pillar atop Mt. Coronet. Their goal is to use Dialga's power over time to unmake the universe and build a new one — and it falls to the player to stop them.
Fans of the anime will remember Dialga from the twelfth Pokémon movie, Arceus and the Jewel of Life, where it clashes with Palkia and Giratina before all three unite against a greater threat. Its signature move, Roar of Time, distorts time itself with a single devastating blast.
